I tend to favour a medium roast profile to highlight the natural flavours and sweetness of the coffee. This means that although a coffee might be described as being an Espresso Roast, you might find that you prefer drinking it using a different preparation method such as V60 or stovetop.
The only other advice I have, is to give your coffee beans about a week or so to 'rest' after the roast date before you enjoy them. This allows the beans to degas properly.
